Direct answer

Sim distance and course distance are different records.

A simulator carry number is not automatically the distance that club will play outside. Save the indoor number with its source, then record what the same club did on the course before you treat either one as the number to play.

Keep the two numbers separate

A simulator or launch monitor usually reports a carry number, and sometimes a total that includes roll. A course shot adds lie, wind, temperature, and what you could actually see land. Those are different observations. Bay2Course does not convert one into the other with a universal formula.

Put the indoor number on a trusted club card with the source label. Later, add the outdoor note beside it. Agreement on one hole is evidence about that shot, not a new permanent distance.

What to write down

If the screen shows both carry and total, keep both labels. Do not copy one into the field meant for the other.

Names the import parser can recognize

Bay2Course reads club and carry rows from text, a CSV, or a screenshot you choose. The parser looks for the names below in that text. A match only labels the source. It is not an official integration, API, endorsement, or partnership.

The source support matrix uses the same boundary: user-directed text, CSV, or a screenshot. See how import works.

Common questions

Does Bay2Course convert simulator yards into course yards?

No. Bay2Course keeps the simulator number and the course check as separate records on a trusted club card. It does not apply a universal indoor-to-outdoor formula.

Should I play the simulator carry number?

Use it as a labeled starting point. After you see what that club did outside, record expected, short, or long in Course Mode. One outdoor shot does not prove every future shot.

What if carry and total disagree?

Keep them distinct. Carry and total answer different questions. Do not replace one with the other because a single session made them look close or far apart.

Keep going

Save the number on a trusted club card, then check one club outside. Course Mode on the phone records expected, short, or long. A watch is not required.
